POL 303 - Money, Media and Politics This course analyzes the ownership and financial incentives of the media. It questions the effects of those incentives on the media’s performance of functions, such as news reporting and coverage of elections. The entertainment industry is also discussed, as the line between news and entertainment continues to blur. Attention is paid to the role of money in American elections as well.
Prerequisites: POL 102 or POL 103 or POL 205 3 hours a week 1 semester 3 credits. Spring 2012
