MAT 490 - Special Topics in Mathematics

A study of a selected mathematical topic that is not covered in depth in the undergraduate mathematics curriculum. The topic covered, in any particular semester, depends on the interest of the students and instructor. Topics may include commutative algebra, homological algebra,
differential geometry, combinatorics, coding theory, or partial differential equations among others.

Departmental approval.
1 semester. Variable, 1-3 credits.
